My name is Lisa Maria G. Tartaglia, DO, FAAHPM. I grew up 10 miles from Philadelphia in Marlton, New Jersey. From a very young age, I aspired to be a physician. I graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. Next, I completed a family practice residency at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida in 2006. During my residency, I took the time needed to discuss the total disease process with my patients which allowed them to make more educated decisions on their care.
Upon completion of my residency and board certification in Family Practice, it was a natural fit to pursue a career in Hospice and Palliative Medicine because I love transparency in patient care. I became one of the first physicians in the US to obtain Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine in 2009. During the last 15 years, I have worked for 3 hospice organizations in Palm Beach County, Martin County, and Saint Lucie County, FL. I moved to Clermont, Florida in 2019 to pursue my dream of becoming a medical director in a startup program with one of the nation’s leading hospice providers.
When I am not working, I enjoy the Clermont Chain of Lakes and have become quite a boater. I love walking and biking on our numerous trails with my family. The beauty of living in Central Florida is my husband and I can on a whim take our children ages 13 and 7 to spend the afternoon at any of our favorite amusement parks. When I am home I love to cook, bake, and entertain friends and family.
